Our Story

CTK was born out of an encounter with God. Ivy Francis-Akolo
was just 18-years-old when she stepped into the calling of
children’s ministry that God placed on her life. As she met her
husband Francis, and had their two children, Olivia and Dara,
the children’s ministry grew into a family ministry, eventually
becoming a foundation. Over the years God has touched and
changed the lives of many people through events, workshops,
and initiatives started by CTK Ministries.

Mind The Gap: Parents Workshop

What

Mind the Gap is CTK’s monthly parents workshop designed to help parents navigate the changing world their children are growing up in. Each session explores relevant topics in parenting, culture, faith, relationships, technology, and family life—equipping parents with practical insight and biblical wisdom for raising the next generation.

When

Workshops take place monthly, either online via Zoom or in person in Grande Prairie, Alberta, depending on the session. Each gathering is an opportunity for parents to learn, ask questions, share experiences, and connect with other parents in a supportive community.
